Discover Machu Picchu on an all-inclusive journey: transport, meals, guide, entrance ticket, and hotel. Travel from Cusco to the jungle, hike along the railway, and enjoy a magical experience at the Wonder of the World. A worry-free adventure for true explorers!
We begin our “Machu Picchu by Car” adventure early in the morning, with pick-up between 5:50 and 6:00 a.m. from your hotel or the main square in Cusco. Our first stop is in Ollantaytambo, where you’ll enjoy a light breakfast and have time to use restroom facilities.
We then continue along a winding mountain road, reaching the highest point of the journey at Abra Málaga (4,300 m / 14,108 ft). From there, we descend through stunning scenery as the landscape shifts from cold Andean peaks to the warm and lush jungle of the high rainforest.
After a delicious lunch near the Hydroelectric Station, we begin a scenic 3-hour walk along the railway tracks toward the town of Aguas Calientes. In the evening, we’ll enjoy dinner together, meet the guide for the next day’s briefing, and then rest for the night.
We wake up early to head to Machu Picchu, either by bus or on foot (about 1 hour via stairs). At the entrance, we meet our guide and begin a guided tour of the majestic citadel, learning about its history, architecture, and the rediscovery by Hiram Bingham.
After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore the site on your own and capture unforgettable memories.
Around noon, we begin the 3-hour hike back from Aguas Calientes to the Hydroelectric Station. There, our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco by road, with a brief stop in Santa Teresa. We’ll arrive in the city center around 9:30 p.m.
